SPECIAL RESOLUTION

TITLE of RESOLUTION: Amend Bylaw 30

PURPOSE: To permit the society to provide complimentary child care for directors while attending society meetings.

WHEREAS: Bylaw 30 currently reads: “A director must not be remunerated for being or acting as a director but a director must be reimbursed for all expenses necessarily and reasonably incurred by the director while engaged in the affairs of the society.

WHEREAS: The society’s sole purpose is to operate as a licensed child care provider, and society directors are more easily recruited and likely to attend society meetings if complimentary child care is provided.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Bylaw 30 be amended to add the following:
“During society meetings the society will provide complimentary child care for attending directors if available.”
